Diabetes Screening Camp – Athgaon Gaushala A diabetes screening camp was conducted under the banner of RSSDI Assam Chapter, in association with Lions Metro and Dr Kamal jain clinic for morning walkers at Athgaon Gaushala on 27th August 2026. A total of 77 individuals were screened, comprising approximately 55 males and 22 females, . 35 participants were known diabetics, while 40 had no known history of diabetes; Seven participants had glucose ≥200 mg/dL, all of whom were known diabetics, indicating poor glycaemic control rather than newly detected diabetes. Among participants without known diabetes, 5 had borderline elevated glucose (140–199 mg/dL) and require confirmation with HbA1c/FPG..The camp successfully highlighted the need for regular screening and improved diabetes control..
