#Cerebralpalsy can present as spastic, dyskinetic, ataxic, or mixed types. Dyskinetic cerebral palsy is found in 20% of children with cerebral palsy. Abnormal, unintended, twisting, and writhing movements are main problem. Because of these abnormal movements, these children have difficulty performing activities of daily living and maintaining balance. Treatment of dyskinetic CP is completely different from other types. Treatment includes positioning, relaxation, yoga, training in activities of daily living, massage, bracing, and walking assistive devices. Stretching and joint mobilization exercises can help alleviate their problem in place of recovery Surgery is required only in certain cases with joint dislocation, bony deformity, or muscle contracture.
